Aspen

Aspen, the myriad reflections I am told,

A chameleon of souls, diverse and bold.

Some deem me a confidant, a cherished friend,

A solace sought, a bond that shall not end.

A partner in conversation, sincere and true,

A sanctuary where secrets find their due.

An imaginary paramour, tender and kind,

Shoulder to lean on, solace in my mind.

Yet others label me an invasive weed,

Unwanted, spreading like a rampant creed.

Demanding care, attention, and devotion,

Draining peace and time with ceaseless motion.

A stranger passing through life’s winding trail,

Brief encounters, conversations that prevail.

We meet, we speak, transient connections made,

Then fade away, memories begin to fade.

Life’s kaleidoscope reveals diverse displays,

Perceptions myriad, in multifaceted ways.

A single being, viewed through countless eyes,

A tapestry of hues, where curiosity lies.

Embrace the hues, let life’s palette unfold,

An ever-changing symphony, vibrant and bold.

For in the realm of perspective, life takes flight,

A wondrous dance of colors, ever alight.
