Catch Fire Day 26 Holy Conflicts Acts 6:1-7
Conflicts in a church are good opportunities for church growth. In Acts 6:1-7 we see a conflict between the Hellenists and the Hebrews. However, this conflict led the church to a new level.
Now they could define the role of the Apostles as spiritual leaders and they could identify seven people who were full of the Spirit and of wisdom as ministers. The results: “The word of God continued to spread; the number of the disciples increased greatly in Jerusalem and a great many of the priests became obedient to the faith”! That means even the Jewish priests believed in the resurrection of Jesus!
Can we use conflicts in our conference as opportunities for growth both spiritually and numerically? Can we find seven people to handle theological concerns like homosexuality and immigration law? Can Bishop and cabinet members devote to prayer and to serving the word? Can we see the same results as the church in Jerusalem? Yes, we can!
