Psalm 64

Psalm 64

Faith sees through the current reality!

Many times, we are discouraged by the current reality. It seems that God is nowhere. People are doing whatever they want to do. People do not care for others and still they are doing great! Where is justice and where is God? Faith, in this situation, proclaims that God is still working and alive. We will feel God’s power soon in many areas.

We complain to God because we believe that God hears our cries.

“Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; preserve my life from the dread enemy. Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, from the scheming of evildoers, who whet their tongues like swords, who aim bitter words like arrows, shooting from ambush at the blameless; they shoot suddenly and without fear. They hold fast to their evil purpose; they talk of laying snares secretly, thinking, ‘Who can see us? Who can search out our crimes? We have thought out a cunningly conceived plot.’ For the human heart and mind are deep.”

We know that God is going to do something in our lives.

“But God will shoot his arrow at them; they will be wounded suddenly. Because of their tongue he will bring them to ruin; all who see them will shake with horror. Then everyone will fear; they will tell what God has brought about, and ponder what he has done. Let the righteous rejoice in the Lord and take refuge in him. Let all the upright in heart glory!”

We can continue our faith journey without seeing the fruits

When we have experiences God’s power and justice again and again in history, we know now that God is going to work in God’s time. We trust that God know what is best for the humanity and for the whole universe. We are just thinking about our own small world but God is in control of the whole creation. So, relax, and do what you need to do. Better yet, enjoy what you are doing in God! God will take care of the rest.
