Psalm 67

Our God is not just for our nation!

Our God is the Creator of the whole universe. We cannot contain God in one box whether that is a national box or a religious box. The psalmist praises God and encouraged other nations to do the same!

“May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, Selah, that your way may be known upon earth, your saving power among all nations. Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you.”

If peoples ask why they should praise God also, we can give three reasons: God is fair, God is gracious, and God blesses all.

“Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you judge the peoples with equity and guide the nations upon earth. Selah. Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you. The earth has yielded its increase; God, our God, has blessed us. May God continue to bless us; let all the ends of the earth revere him.”

We want to share this faith with others and that is our mission!

We go out to other countries. We go out because we believe that it is our call to share this belief with other nations and peoples. When we share this faith, we believe that there are peoples who want to praise God with us. All the world and the peoples should know who our God is and worship Him!
