Psalm 87
We are all one family!
We can hear sounds of conflicts all over the world. People are divided by many boundaries. However, the Bible tells that we are all children of Zion, the city of God. Based on that simple, idea, we can work for the world community, our home!
“On the holy mount stands the city he founded; the Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God. Selah! Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon; Philistia too, and Tyre, with Ethiopia—‘This one was born there,’ they say. And of Zion it shall be said, ‘This one and that one were born in it’; for the Most High himself will establish it. The Lord records, as he registers the peoples, ‘This one was born there.’ Selah!”
We all need to be connected to the source of life!
Because we are all born in Zion (bosom of God), we all need to be fed also by God! Springs are like the breast of God and the babies need to be nourished by God’s love and tender care. The psalmist says,
“Singers and dancers alike say, ‘All my springs are in you.’”
Let us share the Good News of Jesus and the Love of God in it because everybody needs it. We all need to be in it, stay in it, and live by it.
