Psalm 93

Psalm 93

What is greater than God?

Sometimes we are overwhelmed when we see the endless ocean or desert. Sometimes we are shrunk before the grandeur of mountains. However, they are all God’s creatures! What can be greater than God?

“The Lord is king, he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed, he is girded with strength. He has established the world; it shall never be moved; your throne is established from of old; you are from everlasting.”

When this great God moves, all the problems go away like the departed Red Sea!

“The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their roaring. More majestic than the thunders of mighty waters, more majestic than the waves of the sea, majestic on high is the Lord! Your decrees are very sure; holiness befits your house, O Lord, forevermore.”

In front of this God, what we (and Job) find is not the trivial success in the world but the greatness of our God who makes everything looks so small and little. The results of our lives do not matter anymore. The fact that we are in God is wonderful. It is possible only through the grace of God!
