Psalm 100

Psalm 100

All Lands Summoned to Praise God

There is no particular reason to praise God. We praise God because God is God. This attitude of worship frees us. We do not need any practical or utilitarian reason for all the things we do. We enjoy nature and play in it. We listen to music and we draw paintings. We express our love to and for each other. Ah, Life if Good! It does not have to be a certain target that we need to aim. We worship God because that is what we do.

“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.  Worship the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing. Know that the Lord is God. It is he that made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, bless his name. For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.”
